Quebec City is a food lover’s paradise. With local recommendations, here’s your ultimate guide to the best restaurants in Quebec City. One of the best ways to experience a city is through its food, and Quebec City is no exception. During our visit, we were lucky enough to get a list of restaurant recommendations from a local—and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. From cozy brunch spots to incredible French-Canadian cuisine, here’s a rundown of the must-visit eateries in Quebec City.
This was one of our favorites! If you’re a brunch lover, this spot is a dream come true. They serve amazing brunch every day except Monday and Tuesday, featuring local products in their menu. The service staff was exceptional and so accommodating to our requests and child needs. I accidentally left my hat behind and they called me immediately to let me know. They had my phone number from the reservation I made. According to our local guide, it’s their weekend go-to spot—and it might just become yours too.
We didn’t make it here. We had reservations but canceled them because the kids were just not “in the mood.” From what we’ve heard, it’s a fantastic spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner with a cozy atmosphere.
We didn’t eat at Honō Izakaya, but we did eat next door at their sister restaurant Honō Ramen, and it was delicious. Another favorite of the guide’s best restaurants in Quebec City! My oldest couldn’t stop eating their edamame. If their ramen is any indication, this Japanese tavern offering small plates has to be worth a visit too!
We had an early dinner reservation at 5:30, hoping to catch the sunset from way up there. Unfortunately, it was overcast, and we didn’t see a sunset. However, it cleared up later in the evening, and the view was amazing. The food was good but didn’t blow us away. Still, the 360-degree rotating view made it a memorable experience. and it was a very kid friendly restaurant.
We didn’t get a chance to try this place. According to our local guide, it’s known for its traditional French-Canadian cuisine and hearty dishes. It’s definitely on our list for next time.
Great pizza and a wonderful wine list! The kids enjoyed it just as much as we did, making it a fun and delicious stop for the whole family. Their wood-fired pizzas are perfectly crispy and packed with flavor.
We didn’t get to try this one. There just wasn’t enough time in our trip. Our local guide described it as an excellent waterfront spot for French cuisine, perfect for a leisurely lunch or dinner with views of the river.
We had lunch here the day we arrived, and it was exactly what we needed. From their comforting dishes to the welcoming atmosphere, it’s a great spot to relax and enjoy a delicious meal.
